The Campbell County Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to announce that the Holiday
Festival of Lights will continue again this coming holiday season. The 5th annual display will begin the day after Thanksgiving 2010 and run through New Years Day 2011!
The display, now in its 5th year has become a tradition for families and visitors to Gillette. It is estimated that last year more than 30,000 people came out to see the lights, most of them driving through multiple times throughout the season.
The parks staff is already creating new displays that will be added to the display this year. Some of the original displays are being updated with new lights and the transition to using more energy efficient LED lights is being integrated. Other new things to come this year will be animating the massive Snow Flake Tunnel and adding even more lights and programming to the animated Happy Holidays display.
The display is created by the Parks Division staff and is possible because of generous contributions from local businesses. Campbell County Parks & Recreation is seeking your support of the display this year. Contributing businesses can use the donation as a tax deduction and we can/will provide your business with receipt of the donation at your request. As a sponsor, you are recognized on the Parks & Recreation website. Signs are placed at the display listing all sponsors and your companies name is broadcast on the special FM Radio station developed for the animated portion of the display! Please help keep the lights bright by sending a monetary donation to be used to farther expand the display!
